Celebrating 24 fantastic seasons of presenting world-class entertainment and performing arts in Lufkin, the Angelina Arts Alliance is pleased to announce its upcoming 2024-2025 Performing Arts Series, Discovery Series, and Pines Presents Series. This season has a wonderful mix of artistic experiences that are sure to please.  From country to jazz, classical to pop, something from the past to emerging voices, comedy, drama, dance, and magic, you are bound to find an old favorite and welcome a new favorite this season.

Current season ticket holders can renew their subscriptions now through June 28. New season subscription ticket orders for Temple and The Pines Theaters can be turned in at the box office starting June 5, at 2 pm. New subscription orders will be filled July 1-26 based on availability, and in the order they were received. Gloria Gaynor's legendary career spans 40 years. She has achieved global stardom and musical recognition with hit songs in the charts in all four decades. She performs at concerts in the USA, Europe, South America, and beyond each year. 2002, Gloria was honored at the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo with the coveted LEGEND award presented by long-time fan Prince Albert. She spent time in Nashville during 2014 and 2015 co-writing and collaborating with GRAMMY Winning CCM songwriters and producers. In 2016 found Gloria finishing a new album of inspirational songs. Gloria was presented the “Martin Luther King Jr Award” acknowledging those who have gone above and beyond to inspire others. COLLISION OF RHYTHM

Though there are only two of them, they fill the stage as a 12-person ensemble would, moving from instrument to instrument with a high level of skill and diversity. What’s created is a richly explosive experience like nothing else out there — rhythm-centered, but also full of melodic movement and dynamic depth. With drumming, tap dancing, rhythmic juggling, marimba, piano, saxophone, flute and so much more. The pure joy that music and rhythm have instilled within these two humans is extended to every audience member throughout the performance. Between choreographed musical pieces, there is audience interaction, humor, and personal stories that make this show all at once captivating, inspiring, and flat-out extraordinary.

Gregory Popovich, a native of Kiev, Ukraine, is an alumnus of the Great Moscow Circus and the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, a trained clown, and a world record-setting juggler. A professional circus performer since age 12, he personally trains the dogs and cats (all rescued from animal shelters) that form the core cast of Comedy Pet Theater.
