A Radio Legend’s Texas Ranch Is Up for Sale
You can now live in a house that was once owned by a country radio legend.
Bob Kingsley, who passed away in 2019, lived on this 141-acre ranch in Weatherford, Texas for over 25 years with his wife, Nan. Now, the family has decided to sell the iconic property outside of Fort Worth, known as The Bluestem Ranch. The property listed over the holidays at an asking price of $8.2 million.
According to the listing, courtesy of WilliamsTrew Real Estate, the main home has 3 bedrooms and (almost) 3 1/2 bathrooms at just over 10,000 square feet. It features a banquet hall, two offices, a climate-controlled wine room and a home gym. We'd also assume that there was a home recording studio set up, so that Kingsley could record his weekly Country Top 40 shows.
There's also a 3-bedroom guest home on-site, along with a 19-stall horse barn and a nearby covered arena. In the listing, the ranch is described as having "plenty to offer to the avid horseman, the entertainer, and the family that wants to own a masterpiece."
You can also see a virtual open house on YouTube.
Nan Kingsley, in discussing the sale of the longtime home se shared with Bob, said that "the memories we shared together building our home and converting the ranch into the dream property Bob always envisioned will be with me forever. I look forward to seeing another family experience this unique and wonderful slice of Texas."
Kingsley, of course, is a member of the National Radio Hall of Fame, as well as the Country Radio Hall of Fame. He hosted American Country Countdown from 1978-2005, then hosted his own Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 from 2006 until his passing at Bluestem in 2019.
