No one can deny that summers in Texas are HOT! Most people in Lufkin, Nacogdoches and surrounding areas are ecstatic when April and May arrive because they know that the Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Galveston and New Braunfels are open for the summer!

Here's a little visitor's guide for you, your family and friends to read before heading out to Schlitterbahn New Braunfels to enjoy the warm sunshine and cool off in the popular water attractions.

ABOUT

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is located in between San Antonio and Austin at 381 N Austin St in New Braunfels, TX, and was featured on the Travel Channel as being one of "America's wettest and wildest waterparks."

The park features four sections - the original Schlitterbahn, Blastenhoff (for waterslide enthusiasts), Surfenberg (family-friendly) and the new Tubenbach (the ultimate tubing experience).

10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m: June until August 12, August 18, September 1st and September 2nd.

10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m: August 13-17, August 25, September 8 and 15.

10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m: August 19 and 26, September 3, 9 and 16

10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Blast and Save): August 20-24

FOOD & DRINK

The park allows you to bring your own food and drinks, as long as you don't have any alcohol or glass bottles.

The parks also offer a variety of food choices, including hamburgers, chicken strips, hot dogs, turkey legs, funnel cakes, pizza, ice cream and bbq specialties throughout the park.

LODGING

A brand new feature at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is the Treehaus Resort - an upscale lodging experience for the entire family.

The new units are located on the banks of the Comal River and an sleep up to 12 people in a three bedroom, two bathroom treehaus.

With the Schlitterbahn Unlimited Stay and Play package, each guest receives a free Waterpark ticket on the day they check in as well as unlimited use of the entire Waterpark until the day they check out for every guest staying on resort property for only $25 per person (regular price is $72).

ATTRACTIONS

From kids pools to lagoons, tunnel slides, swim-up bars and uphill waterslides, you'll find plenty of fun things to do whether you visit the park with friends, family, kids or a date!
