Central Heights Volleyball Named FNF Student Athletes of the Week
On this edition of our KICKS 105 Friday Night Frenzy, we salute the Central Heights Volleyball team as our McDonalds Outstanding Student/Athletes. They have a record of 28-6 and are ranked #7 in the state of Texas in class 3A according to the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
So far this season, Central Heights has placed second in hosting their own tourney, and finished 4th in the Leon Invitational and Tyler Tournament. They boast a strong group of returners from last season. Last year, the Blue Devils advanced to the regional tournament for the first time in school history. This is only year 7 of volleyball at Central Heights, but the varsity program has won the district championship and not lost a district game in 4 seasons.
Senior Chloe Cook has committed to Campbell University in North Carolina on a full volleyball scholarship and has proven to lead the team well averaging 15 kills a game.
