DeMarco Murray Leads Cowboys Rout Of Bears, 41-28
DeMarco Murray ran for 179 yards and a touchdown, and the Dallas Cowboys used a big second half to beat the Bears, 41-28, in Chicago on Thursday night.Dallas (9-4) scored three touchdowns in the third quarter to pull away from Chicago (5-8).
The Bears tied the game at 7-7 in the second quarter, but the Cowboys slipped ahead on Tony Romo’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Cole Beasley with just 8 seconds before halftime. Romo threw two more scoring passes in the third quarter, and the Cowboys reeled off 21 unanswered points on their way to a 35-7 lead.
Chicago cut into the deficit in the fourth quarter, but they never brought the lead under double-digits. Bears' quarterback Jay Cutler completed 32 of 46 passes for 341 yards with one interception and two touchdowns, and he ran for another score late.
Romo completed 21 of 26 passes for 205 yards and three TDs. Dallas clinched its first winning season since 2009 with the victory.
