East Texan Reportedly Kidnapped in Middle East

According to several news sources, an East Texas native was abducted in Yemen by unknown assailants this past weekend.  

The Longview News-Journal reports that Danny Lavone Burch, 63, who has lived in Kilgore and most recently in White Oak, was taken from his vehicle while travelling a busy street in Sanaa, the Yemeni capital.

The report goes on to state that Burch had been working as an oil worker in the Middle East for the past 20+ years.  He married a Yemeni woman and they have 3 children.

A group known as the Houthi Rebels is suspected in the kidnapping.
