Heifers and Lambs and Hogs...Oh My

The Angelina County Fair presented by Brookshire Brothers is coming up March 20-25 at the George H. Henderson Jr., Expo Center in Lufkin. This will be the 74th year that students representing FFA, FCCLA, and 4-H clubs from across Angelina County will be participating and competing at the fair.

There are many events, exhibits, and competitions at the Angelina County Fair, but one of the most anticipated and heartwarming features is the Reach For The Stars Show, presented by Pilgrim's - Lufkin.

What is Reach For The Stars?

It's an opportunity for Angelina County children with special needs, grades 3rd -12th, to participate in the Angelina County Fair. As exhibitors, these youngsters will get the chance to show animals on the huge arena floor at the Expo Center. This year's event will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 5 p.m.

The Reach for the Stars contestants are assisted by youth ambassadors who volunteer their time and efforts so that these exhibitors can shine and 'celebrate the possibilities'.

How Do You Register?

You can register online here. It is free to participate and all animals to be shown in the ring will be provided at no cost. Pre-registration for the event closes on March 17.
