Garrison Youngster Wins Thursday’s Mutton Bustin’ at Nacogdoches Rodeo
They rode frontways, sideways, and even backwards. Night number one of mutton bustin' at the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show produced some highly entertaining rides as 10 area youngsters held on to the wool as long as they could.
When it was all said and done Jaxon Shaw of Garrison took home top honors with a ride of 81 points. Bryson Payne of Nacogdoches followed with a score of 80 with Trapper Murdock right behind that with a ride of 79.
10 new riders will compete Friday and then again on Saturday. The mutton bustin' gets underway nightly at 7.
