Get Ready For Mutton Bustin’ in Nacogdoches, Here are Our Riders

The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo will be held this Thursday through Saturday at the Nacogdoches Expo Center. The rodeo gets underway nightly at 7:30, but we encourage you to arrive by 7 p.m. for one of the most exciting events of the night.

Mutton Busting

Every night of the rodeo, 15 young cowboys and cowgirls will try their best to stay on the back of a sheep as it races down the arena floor.

Over the past several weeks, registrations for the chance to ride have been taken at Boot Barn in Nacogdoches. We had well over 100 registrations submitted, but, unfortunately, only 45 could be drawn to ride

Riders are required to be at the Expo Center in Nacogdoches for check-in on their designated night between 6 and 6:40 pm. Any rider showing up after 6:45 will forfeit their spot. Riders are required to ride on their assigned night., no switching nights.

Keep in mind that the weight limit for each rider is 60 pounds. All riders will be required to be weighed in while registering. Anyone over the weight limit will not be allowed to ride.

If your child is unable to ride due to a conflict or rules issue, please email Danny Merrell so that a replacement rider can be drawn.  Danny.merrell@townsquaremedia.com
