If You See a Dog in Texas Wearing a Yellow Bandana, Give it Space
Seeing a dog makes my day so much better, especially when it’s my own dogs, but if a dog in Texas is wearing a yellow bandana that is your indication to give him or her some space. So, I must admit I am a huge fan of pets, most specifically dogs, but I like cats too. But I had no idea that a yellow bandana was indicating important information for people not familiar with that specific dog.
The trustful people at Reader’s Digest published the details about dogs wearing yellow bandanas and what that means. The article said that a yellow bandana attached to a dogs collar, neck, or tied to their leash is there to let people know that they need to stay away. It means this specific dog needs lots of space to feel safe and if you get too close you could get injured.
A Dog’s Yellow Bandana Could Mean Many Different Things
If you see a dog wearing a yellow bandana it could mean they suffer from PTSD from a tragic incident that happened years ago or it could mean that the dog is blind. The yellow bandana is just an easy way to indicate that this dog needs extra space to feel safe.
Be Careful As You Approach Any Dog
I’m a gigantic fan of rescue dogs, and all dogs for that matter. But even my princess at home (my older Boxer dog named Gypsy) can act aggressive at times. So, you need to remember that all dogs need to feel comfortable, be very careful as you approach any dog that you’re not already familiar with. The dog will probably love to meet you and give you kisses but give them time to get comfortable with you and your smells first.
