I have loved spending time in Austin. Being just a few hours away from the best capital in the U.S. is a win for all of us in Deep East Texas.

They are still keeping it weird and making legislation. Our Texas state capital has had decades of great press, and the city is growing exponentially.

When you go to Austin today you can't get a clear picture of the communities past. There has been a huge influx of people from all over the country and the world to live in our state capital.

That doesn't seem to deter them from coming in droves and filling up I-35 to the point where it has been rated the most congested roadway in Texas. The town's exponential population growth doesn't jive with the infrastructure, and Texans want to drive themselves everywhere.

In the study, Austin ranked number one overall, but also shined in other key areas to land the top spot. They ranked number one in economic well-being, quality of education, and health.

Capital Cities In Other States Are Stuffy And Boring

Texas has a capital city with a completely different vibe than the entire state. It has a lot to offer, and I am glad they are getting the recognition, even if it leads to further overcrowding.
