Though the weather hasn't been cooler in Deep East Texas, the Fall is the perfect time to reconnect with childhood stories that shaped our imaginations. Angelina College's Fall Theater Production of Charlotte's Web is just the thing.
They are performing a musical adaptation of E.B. White's classic children's book that is filled with great tunes and memorable lyrics about everyone's favorite "terrific" pig. The Angelina College Visual and Performing Arts offers this performance for free at the Temple Theater in Lufkin, Texas.

The crew has been rehearsing since September to bring this free musical performance to life. It just shows how much this story means to people in our area.
Charlotte's Web was first published in 1952. It is a heartwarming tale of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a spider named Charlotte. This timeless story has been adapted many times, most famously as a cartoon musical in 1973.
The score of music and lyrics were written by the Sherman Brothers who also did Mary Poppins, the Jungle Book, and more.
