It’s Oh-Fish-Al, Popular Lufkin Seafood Market Has a New Location
🐟An East Texas Seafood Market Has Moved
🐟The Move Allows for an Expanded Menu
🐟There Will Be Grand Opening Specials
Saturday morning, I was driving near the intersection of Timberland and Denman in Lufkin when I noticed someone putting up a sign outside a business. The name on the sign was very familiar to me -- Area Lakes Catfish & Seafood Market.
Through the years, many East Texans have shopped for their crawfish, catfish, crab legs, frog legs, and many other seafood and aquatic food items at Area Lakes on North Timberland Drive. That's no longer the case.
Beginning Monday, June 19, Area Lakes Catfish & Seafood Market will open its doors at their new location at 502 E. Denman in Lufkin. That's just across the road from Shipley's.
Why the Move?
More space -- that's the main reason.
With more space comes the ability to carry more items. You'll notice more selections on their menu such as the addition of rainbow trout and mahi-mahi, just to name a few.
I applaud the move since that puts them just a couple of blocks away from our radio station studios.
Grand Opening Special
Area Lakes Catfish and Seafood Market will open on Monday, June 19. They will be open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Their phone number is (936)637-3317.
Be sure and stop by and see what they have to offer during the next couple of weeks, but make sure you stop in on Friday, June 30, and/or Saturday, July 1. Area Lakes will be offering a grand opening special on those two days. You'll be able to take 20% off your purchase with this grand opening special.
