Kurth Primary Cafeteria Staff Awarded Golden Spatula Award

Every month, Student Nutrition Services (SNS) with the Lufkin Independent School District presents the Golden Spatula Award to a deserving campus cafeteria staff. For the month of May, that award goes to the Kurth Primary Student Nutrition Services.

SNS Director, Amanda Calk said, "These ladies were very excited and surprised with the honor. They take great care of our kiddos and have developed a great working relationship with campus leadership. The first year manager has gone above and beyond to get to know her students. She is asked, on a regular basis, to come sit at the tables and visit with the kiddos….and she does! We congratulate these ladies and thank them for a job well done!"

The Golden Spatula Award is given out monthly to the campus cafeteria staff that goes above and beyond to not only serve food to our students, but to serve with kindness, style and enthusiasm.
