A Major BBQ Cook Off Event is Happening in Livingston, Texas
Come join Grill 105 and Daddy’s Seasonings at the 4th annual Smoke in the Pines BBQ Cook-Off, now a State Championship Cook-Off. I'll be out there cooking on Friday and Saturday, June 23rd and 24th!
The event includes a Smokin' Hot Bike & Car Show, a Corn Hole Tournament, a Kids Que, and many great vendors. Best of all, it's free for the public to enjoy!
The cook-off will kick off on Friday, June 23rd, with gates opening to the public at 6 pm. The first turn in "Cook's Choice" will be at 9 pm. On Friday night, there will also be a cornhole tournament (bring your own partner) and other cornhole games for prizes and bragging rights.
On Saturday, June 24th, the festivities continue with Cook Teams turning in their beans, chicken, pork spare ribs, and briskets throughout the day. The Kid's Q for kids aged 5-17 will be cooking two pork chops starting at 8:30 am. For a $25 entry fee, they will receive an Old Smokey, 2 pork chops, an apron, and charcoal. The Smokin' Hot Auto & Bike Show registration will begin at 9 am, and the awards ceremony will be held at 2 pm.
There will be many vendors offering delicious treats like funnel cakes, fried sweets, roasted corn, corn dogs, fresh squeezed lemonade, refresher drinks, bubble teas, ice cream, Italian Ice, burgers, quesadillas, Philly steaks, fries, Frito pies, and nachos.
There will even be some dual axe throwing! I think I'll just stay close to my BBQ pit.
