It's another round of exciting high school basketball playoff action across East Texas. Several girls' basketball teams from the Pineywoods had deep runs into the playoffs, unfortunately, none were able to punch their ticket to the state tournament coming up in a few days.

For the boys, it's the regional quarterfinal round.  Here's the slate of games on Tuesday for teams around Deep East Texas.

Chireno vs Hubbard, Tuesday, March 1, 7 p.m. at Slocum High School

  • Chireno defeated Oakwood 54-28 and Avalon 44-30
  • Hubbard defeated Jonesboro 62-52 and Wells 62-46
  • Winner will play winner of Knippa/McMullen game

Grapeland vs LaPoyner, Tuesday, March 1, 6:30 p.m. at Tyler Legacy High School

  • Grapeland defeated Cayuga 63-58 and Crawford 55-42
  • LaPoyner defeated Slocum 105-58 and Meyer 85-65
  • Winner will play winner of Big Sandy/Timpson game

Big Sandy vs Timpson, Tuesday, March 1, 7 p.m. at Lufkin High School

  • Big Sandy defeated Martinsville 67-51 and Union Grove 54-45
  • Timpson defeated Brookeland 95-19 and Garrison 80-43

Tenaha vs Beckville, Tuesday, March 1, 7 p.m. at Panola College in Carthage

  • Tenaha defeated Broaddus 68-36 and Douglass 58-50
  • Beckville defeated New Summerfield 65-55 and Shelbyville 73-53
  • Winner will play winner of Martins Mill/Frankston game

Diboll vs Buna, Tuesday, March 1, 6:30 p.m. at Cleveland High School

  • Diboll defeated Woodville 74-60 and Tarkington 64-55
  • Buna defeated Huntington 66-57 and Coldspring 68-63

Center vs Waco Connally, Tuesday, March 1, 6 p.m. at Athens High School

  • Center defeated China Spring 60-32 and Manor New Tech 69-46

Lufkin vs Sulphur Springs, Tuesday, March 1, 6 p.m. at Tyler Junior College

  • Lufkin defeated Texas High 62-47 and Forney 59-41

Teacher of the Day Nominations - Spring 2022
