Lufkin Police have now identified the woman who was injured in Tuesday night's drive by shooting. T’Keyah Gulley, 23, of Lufkin was lying in bed with her 1-year-old daughter around 11:10 p.m. when multiple shooters fired upon the home at 1310 Rogers Street and drove away. Rogers Street is located near Feagin Street, a few blocks down from Chambers Park.

Gulley was hit twice – once in each leg. She was released from the hospital this morning and is expected to make a full recovery. She was one of five people inside the home at the time.  Officers working the investigation called it “miraculous” that no one else in the home was hit – especially the infant.

As of this Wednesday morning, police have recovered more than 50 rounds and expect that number to increase.  A car sitting in the driveway suffered extensive damage with multiple bullet holes, shattered windows and at least one flat tire.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Lufkin Police are urging anyone with information on this incident to call the Department at 936-633-0356 or Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous at 936-639-TIPS.

This marks the 2nd time in less than a month that a home was sprayed with bullets in that area.  Lufkin Police reported a shooting that took place in late January on Herman Street, near Feagin.
