I'll go ahead and ask for forgiveness right of the bat.

Singers usually don't like being compared to other singers.  They don't like hearing things like "Hey, you kind of have a George Strait style", or "You sound a little like Tim McGraw, but not quite".  Singers want to be known for having their own unique style, but I'm going to break this rule in describing Randy C Moore, and I hope he forgives me.

I didn't know much about Moore when I first had him on the Merrell in the Morning Show last year.  I knew he was living in Lufkin by way of Nashville by way of Humble, Texas.  I knew he had a new CD out that was titled 'Lufkin'.  I now know that after having him on the show several times, how wonderfully talented he is.

He is a unique talent, he does have his own style, but there are three legendary artists that I believe he encapsulates.

Don Williams - One of the first words that come to mind when describing Moore is ultra-smooth.  His comforting baritone stylings are effortlessly delivered in every note. That reminds me quite a bit of the legendary singer from Floydada, Texas.

Roger Miller - Miller is the epitome of 'brevity is the soul of wit' when it comes to writing and delivering songs and stories.  I get that vibe a lot when I interview Randy C Moore.  I can't necessarily put my finger on why I'm such a huge fan of Roger Miller, I just know that every time I listen to his songs I end up smiling.  It's the same when I listen to Moore.

Marty Robbins - You don't just listen to a song by Marty Robbins, you live it.  He brings you into his songs through his phrasing, story-telling ability, and the way that he embraces the content of each of his songs. Whenever I hear 'El Paso' I can picture Rosa's Cantina and wicked Feleena.  Randy delivers his songs in that same vein.  He paints a beautiful picture every time he sings a song.

The main purpose of this post is to pass along the great news about Randy C Moore becoming one of the newest members of the European Country Music Hall of Fame. But, I wanted to share my thoughts about his God-given talent because this honor shouldn't come as a surprise.  I know that Randy has a huge fan base around the East Texas area, and it's great to see how he has been embraced by the European community.

The EUROACM (European Academy of Country Music) is based in Italy and in addition to Randy C Moore, other members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2022 including Carrie Underwood, Alan Turner, and Paul Randy Mingo.  Their inclusion into the Hall is based on performances, and radio and record sales within the past five years for the greater European region of the world.

Moore, who was humbled by the honor said, "This was a complete surprise. I knew I was doing well over in the Euro market but seriously had no idea I would ever become a Hall of Fame member." Country legend and friend Jeannie C. Riley added high praise to Moore's honorarium saying, "You deserve this award Randy, you're a superstar and it's about time everybody realizes it. Europe is aware of it! Good for them… and good for you!"

Randy has been a staple of the European radio market for well over half a decade and a familiar face among some of Europe's best live performers. Charting some half-a-dozen or more number one country singles in Italy, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Belgium, and the U.K.
