Massive Travel Delays on Highway 190 Due to Flooding on I-10

Interstate 10 near Beaumont remains closed due to the major flooding from the remnants of Tropical Storm Imelda.  The detour to get to Highway 59 is taking motorists onto Highway 190 and through Livingston.  Traffic on in Livingston is almost at a standstill.

Law enforcement is monitoring and crews are adjusting the signal light to a longer green. Be patient and stay alert as this could continue throughout coming days until water recedes from the roadways. According to the drivetexas.org, the anticipated re-opening of Interstate 10 is Friday evening.  Follow drivetexas.org for road conditions/closures statewide.
