Miranda Lambert’s New Yorker Husband Knows How to Fry Chicken Southern-Style
Miranda Lambert's husband Brendan McLoughlin may hail from the great state of New York, but hubby is taking nicely to the southern style of living, as evidenced in an Instagram video Lambert shared on Sunday (Aug. 4).
In the post, McLoughlin is showed manning an iron skillet, flipping some tasty-looking pieces of chicken. Indeed, it's just like the lyrics of Lambert's latest tune, "Locomotive," which she herself references: "I’m sweet tea sippin’ on the front porch sittin’ while my hubby fries chicken and I’m pickin’ these straaangs."
Not a bad way to spend a lazy Sunday. And, in case anyone is wondering, "The New Yorker took to the cast iron skillet just fine," native Texan Lambert assured her fans.
Lambert and McLoughlin first met in November 2018 when Lambert and her band, the Pistol Annies, performed on Good Morning America in New York. McLoughlin was assigned to the South Midtown Precinct at the time, which includes Times Square where GMA is filmed. They secretly married in January. Since tying the knot, the two have split their time between each other's cities of New York City and Nashville.
Fans will be able to hear a live version of "Locomotive" on tonight's (Aug. 4) airing of CMA Fest: The Music Event of Summer. Tune in to ABC at 8PM ET. It is the 16th consecutive year that the TV special has aired following the annual event.
