Here are the Mutton Busters for the 2023 Angelina Benefit Rodeo

The field has been set for the Mutton Busting Championships at the upcoming Angelina Benefit Rodeo. Every night, this Wednesday through Saturday, 12 young cowboys and cowgirls between the ages of 5-9 will try their best to stay on the back of a sheep as it's released into the arena at the George H. Henderson Jr., Expo Center in Lufkin.

The top scorer each night will be crowned the nightly champ and receive a mutton-busting trophy.

The drawing for the contestants was held Tuesday, April 25 at Boot Barn in Lufkin. The first two contestants were drawn through a bonus contest through the KICKS 105 App. Those two riders are Kradynn King of Nacogdoches and Ryan Windsor of Lufkin.
