Nineteen students from several Nacogdoches County schools received the good news recently that they had been selected as scholarship recipients for the N.O.B.L.E. program.

N.O.B.L.E. Scholars is a program of the Nacogdoches County Chamber's Community Development Division. N.O.B.L.E. students are challenged to take and master advanced classes and complete a community service project. Completing the N.O.B.L.E. curriculum will lead students to increased opportunities, better jobs and higher self-esteem, and the business community benefits from a stronger work force.

It is sponsored by Citizens 1st Bank, along with Laird Funeral Home, Etech, Fairchild, Price, Haley, and Smith, LLP and SERVPRO of Lufkin/S.Nacogdoches County

N.O.B.L.E. stands for Nacogdoches County Opportunity for a Better Learning Experience.
