More than 60 bikes, a handful of scooters, and several overflowing Toys for Tots boxes were donated by Nacogdoches ISD employees, campuses and departments this Christmas season.

Nacogdoches ISD plant services employees (pictured above) loaded the goodies onto flatbed trailers and delivered them to Ronnie Bowser, Toys for Tots director in Nacogdoches County.  This is the third year for Nacogdoches ISD to organize the school-wide bike and toy drive. Walmart helped the district stretch its funds by offering the best sales prices for the bulk purchases.

Superintendent Dr. Fred Hayes said he is thankful for the outpouring of generosity by staff and students. “We hope that these gifts will bring smiles to the children who receive them this Christmas,” he said.
