Nacogdoches County Sheriff Investigators have charged Sara Noble with making a false report to law enforcement.  The investigation started on August 24th when deputies were dispatched to County Road 914 in reference to a shooting. 

Deputies arrived on scene and found a male who had been shot one time in the abdomen by the suspect who used a .22 caliber pistol. He was transported to a local hospital where he still remains in stable condition.

Detectives arrested the suspect of the shooting, Jaime Davis who was charged with Aggravated Assault with deadly weapon/family violence and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.

Investigators found that Davis shot her boyfriend due to information that she had received from her sister, Sara Noble.  Noble alleged to her sister, that the victim in the case had sexually assaulted a child. Davis gained that information from talking with her sister and then went to the residence and shot the victim.

Detectives conducted three different interviews with Noble, who alleged that she had information that the victim in the shooting had sexually assaulted a child. Detectives arraigned for a forensic interview of the child to be conducted at Harold’s House and no outcry was made. Detectives further observed many inconsistent statements in her story. After further investigation, Noble admitted to law enforcement that she had lied and made the whole story up to her sister and to law enforcement.

An arrest warrant was sought for Noble on August 29th. She turned herself into Deputies at the Nacogdoches County Jail on Tuesday Evening. Noble was charged with making a false report to a peace officer/ family violence a state jail felony.

Bond has been set at $7,500.00 dollars.
