Georgia-Pacific Managers Model Art Bras at Power of Pink Luncheon
The annual Power of Pink Luncheon at the Pitser Garrison Civic Center in Lufkin was held on Thursday, October 17. One of the most entertaining events at the banquet is the 'Art Bra' Contest.
Georgia-Pacific plant managers George Standley from Camden Plywood and Jerry Gunter from Camden showed off their runway model talents during this contest.
In support of St. Luke's Hospital's breast cancer education and prevention, the duo donned stunningly crafted bras adorned with feathers, rhinestones, fringe, lights, and plenty of sparkle to emphasize the importance of women prioritizing their health and getting annual mammograms.
The Georgia-Pacific entry, titled “Bringing Light into the Darkness,” clinched first place in this year’s competition and won the People’s Choice awards in Lufkin and Livingston.
Created by a team of Camden and Corrigan Plywood employees, the Georgia-Pacific bra featured a vibrant array of pink feathers, jingle bells, hot pink tinsel, rhinestones, pearls, and lights, complemented by a dazzling hot pink hard hat embellished with crystals and rhinestones.
Proceeds from the Power of Pink Luncheon go toward supporting underserved cancer patients in East Texas.
