This cool event is open to the public, and visitors will get to try some amazing BBQ.

Everybody knows that BBQ and grilling are in my DNA, but my heart belongs to those who compete in the Special Olympics. Burke's Mental Health Services in Lufkin is holding a fundraiser for the Burke Bobcats, our team in East Texas.
This will be the 7th Annual BBQ Cook Competition benefitting the Burke Bobcats, and you know Grill 105 will be there in support of our hometown team.Join us Saturday, October 6 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Angelina County Farmers Market to enjoy some of the BEST BBQ in Angelina County and support the Burke Bobcats.

Special Olympics athletes, their families, and the general public are invited. Taste test armbands are available for $5.00. Athletes are not charged for taste-testing.

There's a lot of fun to be had in the form of music, games and hula-hoop contests, and did we mention the BBQ!?

More information can be found at the Burke's Facebook Event page, along with contact information for questions. Cook teams can still register up until Friday.
