If you've driven by the William R. Johnson Coliseum on the SFA campus lately, then you've probably noticed the construction that is taking place there. The construction crew is right in the middle of building a brand new basketball practice facility there.

If that's news to you, then here's a bit of background on that. In July, SFA broke ground on the $26 million practice facility. This facility will give both the men and women's basketball teams their own practice area. Currently, they have to share court time, since there's only one court available. This will allow them to practice in their own space, at whatever time works best for them. The new facility will also have offices for the coaches, a gym for the athletes, lounge areas, and will even have it's own nutrition area for the athletes as well. As you can see, this will be quite the addition for Stephen F. Austin State University, and quite the addition for the city of Nacogdoches.

Living in Nacogdoches, we get to see the construction and work take place everyday. So, as we were driving by the other day, we decided to snap a few pictures so that you guys could see as well. This is what's been taking place at the coliseum:

If everything goes as planned, SFA is hoping to have this new facility completed by 2021.
