Overall, the Fall season across East Texas has been rather dry.  Parts of the Pineywoods have actually been classified back into a moderate to severe drought.

That may be changing very quickly.

Granted, we've had some decent rainfall amounts over the past week or two to relieve the dryness, but we could be in for a super soaker.  Over the next 7 days, a large swath of East Texas and parts of Louisiana and Arkansas could accumulate 5 to 7 inches of rain, possibly more in isolated areas.

The best chances of rain for Deep East Texas will start Friday night and continue through Monday.  Then, next Wednesday, rain chances will pick up again.
