Lufkin, Diboll, Central, Zavalla, Hudson, and Huntington ISDs have announced closure date extensions

New Overhead lights and speed zone signs are now in place and active near the Central schools

Recent crashes in and around the Central ISD School Zones is bringing about heightened awareness and possible changes.

Crimestoppers in Lufkin has released audio from the threatening 9-1-1 call which caused classes to be cancelled in Central.

A little over two years ago, the Central Jr. High Band did not exist, but thanks to the vision and hard work of band director David Lambert and many students at Central ISD, they are going strong and sounding better than ever.

A water main break in the vicinity of Central ISD has caused there to be no water pressure for the schools there.  For that reason all schools at Central ISD are releasing students at 10 this morning.
