Despite a press release to the contrary on Thursday, country superstar Tim McGraw is not still under contract to Curb Records, and no legal finding has been made that he owes the label another album, according to a spokesperson for the singer.

It seems that Tim McGraw‘s next 30 years will be even sweeter than the last. A judge has ruled in favor of the ‘Felt Good on My Lips’ hitmaker in his legal battle with Curb Records, which means that the chains have been cut and he’s free to record new music apart from the label.

Tim McGraw is still searching for greener pastures. The iconic country singer is seeking to cut ties with his record label, Curb Records, once and for all, just so he can have the freedom to get new music to his patiently waiting fans. McGraw and Curb will go face to face in court starting Tuesday to hopefully find a resolution.

While the dispute between Tim McGraw and his record label, Curb Records, won’t be settled until next summer at the earliest, a November hearing will decide if the singer can record new music in the interim.

I don't think anyone in the music industry is surprised by this one. It's been long known that Tim McGraw has no love loss for Curb Records. Even though he signed a contract with them many moons ago, Tim has stated in no uncertain terms that he doesn't feel like he nor his fans are getting a fair deal from them. McGraw has said that he just wants to fulfill his obligation to Curb and then move on
