It's that time of the year again.  The 33rd annual Big Bass Splash presented by Sealy Outdoors is coming up on April 21st, 22nd, and 23rd on Lake Sam Rayburn.

Sunday evening proved to be quite an adventure on Sam Rayburn for a group of young men from Central.

Monday was supposed to be a sunny, beautiful day across East Texas.  Instead, the clouds stayed the entire day, and Roy Euper is glad they did.

For many folks, including myself, going fishing is a great way to relax and unwind and just get away from the fast-paced world that we live in.  However, that's not the case when in comes to 'skarping'.

The 3rd and final day of the Big Bass Splash on Lake Sam Rayburn started a bit chilly with a dense fog laying over the lake, but as the morning turned to mid-day, the temperatures quickly warmed, the fog cleared, and some clarity was given on the Big Bash leader board.

It was a great 1st day of the KICKS 105 Big Bass Splash on Lake Sam Rayburn.  The forecast wasn't very promising, but when it was all said and done this one of the most beautiful days for fishing in quite a while.

Thanks to a very wet Winter in East Texas, Lake Sam Rayburn is at one of its highest levels in the last 15 years. And, according to Bob Sealy, that has been producing some great results for area anglers -- lots of big fish.

The University of Louisiana-Monroe team of Tyler Craig and Brian Eaton won the FLW College Fishing Southern Conference Event on Sam Rayburn Reservoir Saturday with a mammoth five bass stringer weighing 29 pounds, 5 ounces.

The annual Kid Fish is ready to go with the first cast for fish getting underway Saturday morning at 9.  This is a fun, free event for kids from 1 through 16.
