East Texas' very own Cody Johnson will get the honors of kicking off RodeoHouston in 2022.

The announcement was made today (2/3) by officials with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

George Strait wasn't the only singing in front of the record setting crowd of 81,000+ on Sunday night at NRG Stadium for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

If you're gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a George Strait cover in the set. Nashville natives Kings of Leon know this.

The new song, "Welcome to the Show," is the official song of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

A big number of Texas artists will be taking the stage at this year's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

We'll have to wait until early '19 to find out the rest of the concert lineup, but we're pretty sure this news can hold us over 'till January.

Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Cody Johnson, Blake Shelton and many others will be taking the RodeoHouston stage. The 2018 line up has been revealed.
