Spring baseball and softball practices are underway and the games will start soon for kids across East Texas. For many parents like me that means lots of equipment shopping, meals on the go because practices always seem to be at dinner time, and usually a really bad case of bleacher butt. But it's so much fun. There are at least 5 reasons why little league is awesome, and I bet you can add to the list.
The Angelina College softball program can add two more names to its growing list of All-American players, with Miranda Wiggins and Kaylee Parker making the lists as announced on Wednesday.
Following a standout sophomore season as a Lady Roadrunner softball player, it was a foregone conclusion that Kaylee Parker would be continue her college playing career at a Division 1 school...it was just a question of where.

Angelina College’s Taylor Davis rarely swings at a first pitch. She’s accumulated an on-base-percentage of more than .500 just by being so selective, despite setting the program record for home runs with 17 in 2017.
Angelina College softball player Lynsey Mitchell’s big day against Jarvis Christian College this past Friday didn’t just create a buzz among teammates. Her numbers also landed her Player of the Week honors from more than one organization.
According to a press release from Angelina College, Kaylee “KK” Parker signed a letter of intent to join the Lady ‘Runners beginning in the fall of 2016.

On Wednesday, the Lady Roadrunners softball team re-wrote the Angelina College record book. The program’s team record for home runs in a season lasted all of one year.
Thursday morning at 9, the Hudson Lady Hornets will be playing the West Lady Trojans in Austin for the right to advance to the 3a state championship game.
This morning, a 'send-off' parade was held for the team.

The Rampage softball team, who just happen to be the 14 and under state champions paid us a visit today and told us about their experiences in trying to bring home the world series title.
The East Texas Rampage Girls 14 and under softball team are the undefeated state champions of Texas and are now carrying the battle to the world series (USFA) in Florida.
The Rampage actually started playing in Florida on Monday, but the double elimination bracket play got underway Wednesday.
