Winter Weather

For the 3rd time in 10 days, much of Deep East Texas is under a Winter Weather Advisory.  This alert runs from 9pm Wednesday night and continues until noon Thursday.

Those who have lived in Deep East Texas long enough realize that in the Winter time we are often right on the cut off line when it comes to wintry weather chances.  Here we go again.

For the most part today, Deep East Texas has dodged the large amounts of sleet and freezing rain that areas just to our North have been seeing. That may be changing this evening.   The Weather Prediction Center at the National Weather Service puts the best chance of freezing drizzle or rain in an area that includes Lufkin, Diboll, Jasper, Corrigan, and Zavalla.  T...

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Angelina, Nacogdoches, and many surrounding counties until 9 pm tonight.  Freezing rain could occur later in the day, but temperatures look like they'll stay above freezing for most of the morning.

Is this a scene that we'll see more of this Winter in Deep East Texas?  According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, we have better chances than normal.

Lady Antebellum's Webisode Wednesday's are back. Lady A hasn't toured for a few months, but they got back on the road again last week, just in time to encounter some of the worst driving conditions ever.
