Those who have lived in Deep East Texas long enough realize that in the Winter time we are often right on the cut off line when it comes to wintry weather chances.  Here we go again.

For the most part today, Deep East Texas has dodged the large amounts of sleet and freezing rain that areas just to our North have been seeing. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Angelina, Nacogdoches, and many surrounding counties until 9 pm tonight.  Freezing rain could occur later in the day, but temperatures look like they'll stay above freezing for most of the morning.
