Texas Forestry Museum to Offer Two New Programs in September
The Texas Forestry Museum is getting the word out on two events coming up in September.
The museum will hold its Adult Lecture: Woodturning on Thursday, September 5th at 6 pm. Guests will learn about the ins and outs of woodturning from Dennis Ford during a short presentation and demonstration.
Also, guests will have the opportunity to try their hand at woodturning with a lathe. This is a free event. If you would like to attend, make sure to RSVP by Tuesday, September 3rd by calling 936-632-9535 to save your spot.

Toddler Classes
The Texas Forestry Museum will be conducting its first toddler classes called Seedlings: A Toddler Program. The first two classes are on Friday, September 6th and Friday, September 13th both starting at 9:00 am.
Parents and children are invited to come learn all about squirrels on September 6th and raccoons on September 13th. The Seedlings classes are for children ages 2 – 5 and will engage parents and children with fun crafts and activities.
Each 30 minute class costs $5 per child and parents are free. At the end of the class, families will have the opportunity to explore and play in the museum before it opens to the public.
