Texas Infant Killed by Family Dog
An unimaginable tragedy has fallen on a central Texas family. According to a report, San Marcos Police are investigating the death of a 2-month-old infant who was likely mauled to death by the family's pet dog.
The baby's father reported that the girl was left in her bouncer while he took a nap. When he awoke, we found the baby unresponsive and with injuries consistent to dog bites. The emergency call came in to authorities Tuesday afternoon around 1:30. The baby girl was pronounced dead at Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos just after 2 p.m.
The family's dog is a German Shepherd which has been with the family for 8 years. The dog has been quarantined at this time with a decision for whether or not to euthanize it to be made at a later date.
