Texas Store With An Affection for Cows Sells $17.5 Million Ticket

Somebody matched all six numbers in Saturday's Lotto Texas drawing. That's a $17.5 million ticket.

That ticket was purchased at this small store in Odessa, Texas.

The winner has 180 days to come forward to claim their jackpot. They selected the cash option when purchasing the ticket which means the payout will be a little over $10 million before taxes.

A Really Cool Convenience Store

Take a close look above at the store that sold the winning ticket. In today's world of mega-gas stations, the only thing missing from this throwback is a guy who comes out to pump your gas.

But, upon closer inspection, this is a really cool store.

First, the name of the store is Heifer's N Convenience Store. I'm not sure where the name came from, but if you look at their Facebook Page, it's obvious the owners like cows.

And they like having some fun on their Facebook Page.

I'm not sure if the store will get a big check for selling the winning ticket, but if they do, something tells me they will spend it on cow decor.

More About The Winning Ticket

The six winning numbers for Saturday's Lotto Texas drawing were 17-23-26-32-38-45. The new jackpot of $5 million will be up for grabs with the next drawing on Monday, March 11.

Whoever won the ticket is encouraged to sign their ticket, put it in a safe place, seek financial and legal advice, and call the Texas Lottery to schedule an appointment to claim the prize.

Lotto Texas is played by picking six numbers from one to 54. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m.
