Tornado Watch Issued for All of Deep East Texas
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch for all of Deep East Texas until 10 p.m. Wednesday night. A strong cold front is pushing across the area and combined with the unstable, warm air in place, this will give rise to supercell storms with some possibly spawning tornadoes. Straight line winds gusting to 70 mph along with golf ball sized hail are possible in some of the storms.
If you live in the Pineywoods, you are under this tornado watch.
6:45 pm - A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 7:45 for Nacogdoches, Shelby, northern San Augustine, eastern Cherokee, and southern Rusk county. A line of severe storms is moving across the warned area and is expected to bring winds gusting up to 50 mph
