Tree Seedling Giveaway Rescheduled for February 24
Wednesday, February 24, Angelina Beautiful/Clean, Texas A&M Forest Service and Lowe's are partnering for the annual free tree seedling giveaway. Sterling Solutions is presenting this year's event in celebration of Arbor Day. The giveaway of the seedlings will start at 9 a.m. and last until 10:30 a.m., or until the last seedling is claimed. This event is the rescheduled date from February 17 due to the ice storm.

The event will take place in the Lowe's Garden Center. A variety of approximately 3400 hardwood trees will be available to give East Texans the opportunity to replenish trees that suffered drought or storm damage. Experts will be on site to give instructions on how to best care for your plants. The following species of trees will be available
- Chinkapin Oak - 200
- Cherrybark Oak - 600
- Bald Cypress - 1500
- Shumard Oak - 500
- Nuttall Oak - 600

The tree seedlings will be available on a first come-first served basis. Their will be no charge for the seedlings, but Angelina Beautiful/Clean will be accepting donations at the site. These contributions are tax-deductible.
