Motorists travelling down FM 3126 near Lake Livingston Thursday evening experienced a road blockade.  No...this wasn't the result of some sort of construction being done on the highway, this was the work of a huge alligator who had decided that the asphalt was his home.

According to a report in PolkCountyToday.com, Texas Game Warden David Johnson was summoned to the location to try and deal with the situation. This would be a relatively easy issue to take care of if gators responded to commands such as 'Here, boy' and 'Go Fetch', but warden Johnson ended up spending half an hour or so using a pole with a noose, and then finally a long nylon strap to pull the reptile off the roadway.
