Want To Confuse Non-Texans? Here’s How.
The people of Texas are their own breed. Texans are a proud people. That's why some of the things that we take for granted here tend to confuse non-Texans. If you are a Texan, or at least consider yourself a Texan-at-heart, you need to educate yourself on this list. Just showing them this list will confuse them enough.

Don't Accept Any Ice Cream That Isn't Blue Bell
This is a Texas staple. I don't care how much money the others put into advertising, or how flashy their product is, it isn't the same as Blue Bell.
- 2
Don't Swap Dr Pepper For Pibb
These are not the same. It doesn't matter what anyone tells you. There is no real replacement for Dr Pepper. On a related note, there is no period in Dr Pepper.

There Is A Difference "Texas Country" And "Country"
All Texas Country music is Country. However, all Country music is not necessarily Texas Country. Texas Country gets its own place in the music industry. Know the differences. There's a reason there's no "California Country" or "Florida Country" or otherwise. Also, Texas Country is very important to us here. Know that.

They're All "Texas Stars"
Just like the one on the Lone Star Flag, any star can be a "Texas Star". I've got little cousins that live in Georgia that will tell you, anytime they see a star, it's automatically a "Texas Star". They know how it works.

No, Not Everyone Is A Cowboys Fan
Educate them on the fact that not everyone cheers for the Dallas Cowboys. In Texas, you are either for them or against them; you either hate them or love them; Dez caught the ball or he didn't; there is no "in-between".

Grilling And Barbecuing Isn't The Same Thing
This might be the thing that confuses them the most. It's similar to the Texas Country difference above. Cooking hot dogs and burgers over an open-flame DOES NOT equal barbeque. Barbeque is slow-smoked over several hours. And it's totally different from burgers...

Distance Is Discussed In Time, Not Length
Person 1: How far is it from here?
Person 2: It's about three hours.
When you live in a state this big, it's easier to deal with time amounts, than length amounts.

We Are Acclimated To The Warmer Temperatures
If you think we're weak because we don't adjust well to colder temperatures, come talk to me in July.

There Are Specific Regions In Texas
East Texas, West Texas, North Texas, South Texas, and Austin.

Texas Pride. That's All That Matters.
It doesn't matter which part of Texas you're from. It doesn't matter if you're a Cowboys fan or not. It doesn't matter if you've lived here since the day you were born or if you've only lived here a few months. Heck, it doesn't even matter if you drive a pickup truck or not. If you're a true Texan, you've got pride in the Lone Star State, and that's all that matters.
