When and Where Will Freddy’s Be Opening in Lufkin, Texas?

The dirt work and construction are underway for a highly anticipated restaurant soon to open its doors in Lufkin, Texas. Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will be opening a location at 4103 South Medford Drive, next to Chili's.

When Is The Big Day?

Kim Huynh, Assistant Public Relations Manager with Freddy's, has reached out to let us know that the restaurant is currently on track to open in late June or early July of 2023. So, we're going to have to be patient just a little longer to enjoy those delicious steakburgers, cheese curds, french fries, and frozen custard.

Freddy's Footprint

On June 29, officials at Freddy's released news that they would be opening up a total of 57 new eateries throughout Texas. When completed, that would give the brand a total of 120 restaurants serving customers around the Lone Star State.

According to their website, Freddy's Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is a leading fast-casual franchise concept with more than 440 locations across 36 states nationwide. They were founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002.

Here I Ram

According to Huynh, Ram-Z Restaurant Group, LLC will be the franchisee operating the new Lufkin location. Ram-Z has committed to 15 new Freddy's locations in Texas, with development set to take place in Denton, Collin, Gregg, Rusk, Rockwall, Anderson, Cherokee, Harrison, and, obviously, Angelina Counties.

Hurry Up and Wait

I'll be paying close attention to the progress of the building's construction every time I pass by their location on the south side of Lufkin. We are probably just a few months away from the call for prospective employees to start applying. Whenever that happens and whenever any news is passed along concerning the opening of Freddy's in Lufkin, we'll be sure to pass it along.
