It's been a while since I last saw Brooks & Dunn in concert. I believe it was 1991 and the venue was Bullwinkles in Nacogdoches.  Remember that place?  There wasn't much to the club on the southeast side of the city, but Bullwinkles hosted such legendary performers as Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, and Brooks & Dunn.

Since that time, the country duo has gone on to have a hall of fame career amassing numerous number one hits as well as compiling enough CMA and ACM trophies to fill the wing of a museum.  In 2010, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn made the announcement that they would be retiring.  The chance to see Brooks & Dunn perform live was gone forever...or so we thought.

As has been the case with many artists that have announced 'retirements', there should be an asterisk next to the word. The duo held true to their word for about 10 years before announcing that they would be back on the stage again with performances at a 'residency' engagement in Las Vegas.  Then, in 2020, Brooks & Dunn announced that they would be touring again with their 'Reboot Tour'.

Thankfully, that tour is still going strong, and on Friday, June 10, it will be rolling into Bossier City, Louisiana as they will be performing at the Brookshire Grocery Arena. Joining Brooks & Dunn will be Jordan Davis and Dillon Carmichael.
