Forget the flu bug, basketball fever is widespread in Woden.  For the first time in school history, the Lady Eagles are heading to the state tournament in San Antonio

Only four teams are left in Class 2A and one of those teams will be crowned state champion on Saturday afternoon.  Woden will play their semifinal game on Friday with the tip off scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. against the Panhandle Pantherettes at the AlamoDome.  Once the Lady Eagles secure that victory, they will play around 1:30 p.m. Saturday against either Martin's Mill (Class 2A champion from 2 years agao) or Weimar (Class 2A champion from last year).

Woden has compiled a very impressive 35-3 record on the year.  Their only losses were a 1 point loss to Class 5A playoff team Lucas Lovejoy, and two losses late in the season to district rival Tenaha.  However, the Lady Eagles also beat Tenaha twice this year including the victory last week that earned Woden the trip to the state tourney in San Antonio.

The team is lead by head coach Lance Taylor and assistant coachTray Turner.  Traci Dorsett is team manager and Kylee Decker and Layla Miller are part of the video staff.  The players for the Lady Eagles include:
