All Customers of Woden Water Supply Advised of Boil Water Notice
All customers on the Woden Water Supply Corporation water system are advised to boil their water before consumption. This includes water for washing your hands and face and brushing your teeth.
A water line break and subsequent loss of water pressure incident earlier today (8/24/22) is the reason for this order. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires the Woden Water Supply, PWS ID #1740020, to notify all customers on the Woden Water Supply Corporation water system of this situation and action.
Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
To ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, Woden Water Supply officials will notify customers that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
Customers are asked to share this information with all other customers who drink this water, and may not have received this notice.
