Blake Shelton Reportedly Helping Gwen Stefani With Christmas Album
Rumors of a Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Christmas duet are heating up to the point of Today host Al Roker asking Brad Paisley for his thoughts on it.
Stefani has been rumored to be working on a holiday album for several months, but a recently-surfaced track listing shows her boyfriend Shelton as a co-writer on a song called "You Make It Feel Like Christmas." Justin Tranter and busbee are also said to have helped with the song — one of four ET Online says are registered to the pop singer.
The Today co-hosts adds that the couple are rumored to be singing together, something neither has confirmed or denied. Paisley seemed excited about the potential for another Shelton/Stefani duet, but joked, "I wish it was just Gwen."
Stefani's Christmas album is anticipated this fall. The three other registered song titles are "My Gift Is You," "Under the Christmas Lights" and "When I Was a Little Girl."
Fans may recall her teaming up with Shelton for a duet previously. His latest album, If I'm Honest, included the song "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." Performances of the track have been rare, but at Country Jam in 2016 they took the stage together to sing it:
The couple are nearing their two-year anniversary. Both were fresh out of high-profile divorces when they started dating. Separately Shelton is rumored to be working on a new studio album, but no firm details or time table for that project have been released.
