Soggy Week Possible for the Pineywoods
August in East Texas usually means heat, humidity, and dry conditions. Well, this week will definitely be humid, but the temperatures may be a bit below normal as a week of high rainfall chances will invade the Pineywoods.
A lingering frontal boundary across the northern third of Texas will bring the chance of big rainfall amounts (up to 7 inches), especially along the I-30 corridor from Dallas to Texarkana. Closer to home, accumulations should range between 1-3 inches of rain.
At times, heavy downpours could occur across Deep East Texas, but, as of this writing, no severe storms are expected for the week.
