Bride Drowns in Wedding Dress While Having Pictures Taken

Maria Pantazopoulos of Canada was married just a few months ago, but wanted to get some additional photos of herself in a wedding dress.

What should have been a fun photo shoot ended in tragedy.

According to reports, the bride was only in about 1-2 feet of water, however the weight of the water-soaked dress caused her to have trouble getting out of the shallow water.  At one point the woman slipped on a rock and into an area of the river that had a stronger current which then swept her down the river and into deeper waters.

Her body was found 4 hours later.
