It has been 2 days since Moses Jeffero was reported missing from a residence on Rowe Avenue in Lufkin.  Over the past 48 hours, numerous widespread search attempts involving law enforcement, search and rescue teams, thermal imaging sources, and goodhearted volunteers have been launched.  But, there still has been no sign of the 85-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer's. A statewide Silver Alert was issued Monday and continues at this writing.

The Clergy and Police Alliance (CAPA) will be hosting a prayer vigil this evening (Tuesday) for Moses Jeffero and his family. The vigil will be held this evening at 6 p.m. at Collins Chapel CME Church (801 Rowe Ave. across the street from Mr. Jeffero’s home).  Even if you can’t attend, if you’ll stop what you’re doing at 6 p.m. and take a moment to pray for Mr. Jeffero and his family, that would be much appreciated.
