Flash Flood Warning Issued for Several East Texas Counties
From the National Weather Service in Shreveport:
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for southwestern Caddo, northwestern Red River, northwestern Sabine, and De Soto Parishes, plus for Angelina, Nacogdoches, Shelby, San Augustine, western Sabine, southeastern Cherokee, and southeastern Rusk Counties.
The warning is in effect until 4 p.m. today
numerous strong storms with heavy embedded downpours are moving through these areas and could dump 1-2 inches of rain or more over very saturated grounds.
Some locations that could experience flash flooding include Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Huntington, Center, Pineland, Garrison and Martinsville, as well as much of the Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn Reservoir areas.
